for some reason I remeber doing excatly same problem last year on one of my geometry tests in honors geometry
so plug in 12+2w for l
108=2%2812%2B2w%29%2B2w
the distrubite the 2
108=24%2B4w%2B2w
comibine like terms
108=24%2B6w
subtract 24 from both sides
84=6w
then divide by 6
14=w
then plug 14 in for w
108=2l%2B2%2814%29
mulitply 2*14
108=2l%2B28
subtract 28 from both sides
80=2l
then divide both sides by 2
40=l
