Question 1189287: −2x+2y=−4
3x+3y=−18
I got help on this but the tutor just gave me articles that did not make much sense to me. If you could, could I have a quick step-by-step explanation on how to do this problem?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
Hello, you just got confused with your numerous posts.
Meanwhile, I track them very attentively.
The current system (of this your post) was just SOLVED for you in full by tutor @MathLover1.
The tutor, who gave you links to articles IN OTHER YOUR POST and for another system, is ME.
After getting your comment, I produced the full solution for you,
in your very first post under this link

You wrote that my lessons did nit make much sense for you.
Meanwhile, in my lessons, I explained at a very introductory level, how to solve such systems using the basic methods.
If these lessons do not make sense for you, it may happen in two cases, only:
(a) if you do not want (or do not able) stretch your mind to learn the subject, or
(b) if you do not want to learn the subject, at all, and only want to obtain ready solutions,
written by others, in order for copy-paste them and to sign/(to send) them later as if they are produced by you.
In any case, there is nothing to be proud of, if you can not understand clearly written text.
It is strange to me to see such a "student" . . .
