Choose (1,3) on the second line.
The distance between (1,3) and the line 3x-y+4 = 0 is
= [3(1)-3+4]/sqrt(3^2 + 1^2)
= 4/sqrt(10)
Thus the two lines are 4/sqrt(10) units apart.
