Question 1180727: How do i graph y=-1/3×-4
Found 3 solutions by ikleyn, mananth, josgarithmetic: Answer by ikleyn(52793) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! .
As any other graph: use the graph paper, a pensile and a straightedge.
For this straight line, fill a table of values of two points;
Mark the points at the graph paper and connect them drawing the only one straight line.
It is how people do it and did it just thousands years.
If you want to use more modern tools, you may plot such graphs electronically.
For it, you may use the site www.desmos.com,
which has free of charge plotting tool, and everyone may use it at no fees,
so you can easily plot your graph on your own.
Finally, you can make such simple plot using your graphing calculator.
On how to do it, you may learn from the Internet: see this video-lesson

Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=-(1/3)×-4
assume some values for x and get corresponding y values by substituting in the equation
x = 9, y=-7
x= -6 , y=-2
x= 12 , y=-8
Plot the points on a graph
.
Answer by josgarithmetic(39618) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! supposed to be y=-(1/3)x-4 or .
The equation tells all that is needed. Plot (0,-4) and use the slope to identify at least one more point. Draw the line through the points.
