Question 1103100: 9x – 3y = 12
A) Take the equation and change it into slope intercept form.
B) Determine the y intercept and slope of this linear equation.
C) Find the equation of the line that passes through the point, ( 3, 5 ) and is perpendicular to the original line.
I just need the answer to part C! I think I got the other two. But if you'd like to check
Part A: 9x – 3y = 12 – add 3y to both sides since this problem is subtraction
9x = 3y + 12 – now divide both sides from 9x, this will leave x by itself.
9x / 9 = 3y + 12 / 9
x = 1/3y + 4/3
PART B: 1/3 = slope ||||| 4/3 = y intercept
