Question 275305: An isosceles triangle in which angles B and C have the same measure. Find the measure of each angle whose degree is represented with variables.
A= 4x + 2y
B= 9y - 2
C= 10x + 10
The assignment calls for setting it up as a system of equations and solving the problem. I have no idea where to even begin.
I tried something like 4x + 2y = 180- 9y -2 + 10x + 10
that definately was not right! Lol!
I would appreciate any help.

Question 276604: I wasn’t sure if you would be able to help me with this because you cant see the diagram that I have, but I will try to explain it the best that I can.
The diagram represents weights on a see-saw. The weight labeled 10 is on the left side, the weight labeled 4 is on the right side, the variable y is on the left side and the variable x is on the right side. The distance between the weights is 21.
a) Write a system of equations for the diagram.
b) Solve the system to find x and y.
I know this is asking a lot, but I appreciate any help/advice you can give me. Thank you so much.

Question 277922: I am not sure how to work these three problems :
For the systems of linear equations in questions 1-3
Determine how many solutions exist
Use either elimination or substitution to find the solutions (if any)
Graph the two lines, labeling the x-intercepts, y-intercepts, and points of intersection
1.y = 2x + 3 and y = -x - 4
2.2x + 3y = 8 and 3x + 2y = 7
3.2x + 3y = 8 and 3x + 2y = 7

Question 278155: hello
how would i solve this linear system using the cramers rule?
4x-7y-7z= -26
3x-7y-9z=-26
-9x-5y-2z= -51
this is what i have done but it seems wrong
i get that d = -145
dx = -1939/ -145
dy = 1175/-145
dz = -1428/-145
this answers seem to work only with the first equation.
