Question 29689: 5x - 3y > -31 the goal is to graph the equation. The problem is .... the y-intercept winds up as 31/1. The program it comes from is not designed to plot such fractions on the graph. I'm not sure how to get the equation to work out to a whole integer for the y-intercept.

Question 30513: art, trudy and suelike to take exercise walks together. however, they never do actually stay together, since trudy walks at a speed that is 1 1/2 mph faster than sue's spped and art walks 1 mph slower that sue. art walks at a leisurly 2 mph. now total distance,D, in miles is the dependent variable and the time walked, t, in hours is the independent variable. i need to figure out equations for all three of the walkers.
