Question 1006687: Hi, I am in ALgebra 1 and having a hard time with this problem.
Solve the system of linear equations by any method.
3x-2y=2
x-2/9y=0
So far this is what I have;
3(3x-2y=2)= 9x-6y=6
9(x-2/9y=0)= 9x-2y=0
I subtracted the two equations 4y/4=6/4, y=3/2
I plugged 3/2 into the first equation and got
3x-2(3/2)=2
3x-3=2
+3 each side
divide 3 each side
x= 5/3
I tried to check the equation and the first one worked but the second equation does not. Any help would be great thank you!

Question 1008709: Occasionally, for extra income, I do data entry for local companies. Recently, I was doing data entry for two companies. Between the two companies, I had a total of 6 hours a week I could spend on these projects. I determined that it costs me $4 per hour for Company A projects and $1 per hour for Company B projects. I don't want to spend more than $12 in working on these projects. If my profit is $1 per hour for Company A projects and $5 per hour for Company B projects, how many hours should I spend on projects for each company to maximize my profit?

Question 1008713: Determine the solutions for the following systems of equations. Put your answers in ordered triple or quadruple form.
3x -4y + 6z = -7
-2x + y - 5z = -5
x + -y + z = -4
I solved the first one but I got huge answers and ugly fractions so I really need to know where I went wrong! I got (-59/29,-32/29,-218/29). These cannot be right!! Please help, thank you!

The second one is
x + y - z + 2w = 5
-3x + 7y -5z +4w = 13
2x -3y +2z -w = -4
x -4y +3z -3w =-9
I didn't attempt this one because I got such a strange answer for the first one I didn't want to do the whole thing only to find I did it all wrong.
Thanks again, any help is appreciated.
