Question 906662: I've been stuck on this question and I'm pretty sure it's the most simplest things ever but I don't know why I can't figure it out. So far I got to a+b=1200 but I know I need another part of the system. the question is:
An office is printing 1200 copies of a document using two printers. Printer a gets jammed and prints only half as many copies as printer B. Write and solve a system of equations to for number of copies that eah printer will produce.

Question 906699: Could you all verify my work for me and make sure I did it right. I was suppose to simplify the following x/6=18/4 I did the following
simplified to 18/4 to 9/2
X/6=9/2
I multiplied both sides by 6
my answer was X=27. Is that right I just am learning this and i am still realy shaky. I appreciate all of your help folks, thank you.

Question 906715: Solve each system of equation
3x+2y=12
x+y=3
This problem is really confusing me I tried changing them in y=mx+b but the answer still isn't right and then I tried multiplying the bottom equation by -3 and I get another wrong answer. Please help.
