Total amount invested is: 575
A Linear system is:
1) x + y = 10000
2) 0.07x - 0.03y = 575

solve for equation 1 for x:
x+ y= 10000
x= 10000 - y
Sub x=1000 - y in equation 2
0.07x - 0.03y = 575
0.07 (10000 - y) - 0.03y = 575
700 - 0.1y = 575
-0.1y = -125
y= 1250

Sub y = 1250 in equation 1
x+ y= 10000
x + 1250 =10000
x = 8750
