Question 952041: I do not understand
Does this system have one solution, infinitely, or no solutions?
y=2x+5
y-4x=-2
y=4x--2
2x+5=4x-2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Change all the equations to standard form and you can do some matrix operations or maybe
find some duplicates of any of them.

system%28y=2x%2B5%2Cy-4x=-2%2Cy=4x-%28-2%29%2C2x%2B5=4x-2%29
'
system%282x-y=5%2C-4x%2By=-2%2C-4x%2By=2%2C5=2x-2%29
'
system%282x-y=5%2C4x-y=2%2C4x-y=-2%2C2x=7%29

That last equation means x=7%2F2.
Any solution of your system will need to include this value for x. No restriction on y for it.

system%287-y=5%2C14-y=2%2C14-y=-2%2Cx=7%2F2%29

Do the first three equations agree?

system%28y=2%2Cy=12%2Cy=16%2Cx=7%2F2%29
This very beginner-level process is showing different values for y, but all for the same x value.
They all need to agree but they do not agree.

NO SOLUTION.
