You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Aim for:
( terms involving the unknown ) = ( terms that are numbers )
+7y+-+11+-+10y+%2B+3+=+7+
First get terms with the unknown together
+7y+-+10y+-+11+%2B+3+=+7+
Perform addition on the numbers on the left
+7y+-+10y+-+8+=+7+
Add +8+ to both sides
+7y+-+10y+=+15+
Perform addition on the terms with unknowns
+-3y+=+15+
Divide both sides by +-3+
+y+=+-5+
------------------
check the answer:
+7y+-+11+-+10y+%2B+3+=+7+
+7%2A%28-5%29+-+11+-+10%2A%28-5%29+%2B+3+=+7+
+-35+-+11+%2B+50+%2B+3+=+7+
Combine terms on the left 2 at a time
+-46+%2B+53+=+7+
+7+=+7+
OK
hope this helps
