Question 899023: Use your calculator and the zero application to approximate the solution to
7x-3=0
Can you tell me the steps I need for the answer?
How do i change it so its y= in order to put in calculator?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use your calculator and the zero application
to approximate the solution to 7x-3=0
------
In your calculator::
Enter Y1 as 7x-3
Enter Y2 as 0
-----
Graph both Y1 and Y2.
Then find their intersection using CALC, #5(Intersection)
----------------------
Hit ENTER a three times to see the intersection.
That is the approximated solution.
I get x = 0.142857..
==========================
If you choose to use the "zero" function::
1st: Enter Y1 as 7x-3
2nd: 2ndCALC, #2(zero)
3rd: scroll a bit to the left of zero and hit ENTER (left margin)
4th: scroll a bit to the right of zero and hit ENTER (right margin)
5th: hit ENTER and the calculation will find the intersection of 7x-3 and 0
I get x = 0.143857
==========================
