Add the two equations to elimlnate y, you will get.
2x = 4
Divide both the sides by 2
x = 2
Now, put the value of x in any of the given equations:
2 + y = 3
Subtract 2 from both the sides, we will get
y = 3-2 = 1
Answer: x =2 & y = 1
