You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Start with the equation -6x%2B3y=-12 and plug in y=x%2B1

-6x%2B3y=-12

-6x%2B3%28x%2B1%29=-12 Plug in y=x%2B1. Basically replace EVERY y with x%2B1. Now we solve for x.

-6x%2B3x%2B3=-12

-3x%2B3=-12

-3x=-12-3

-3x=-15

x=-15%2F%28-3%29

x=5

-------------------------------------------------------

Now that we know x=5, we can use this to find y.

y=x%2B1

y=5%2B1 Plug in x=5 (ie replace x with 5)

y=6

So the answer is the point (5,6) since we found x+=+5 and y+=+6
