2%28x+%2B+3%29+-+4%2A3+=+x+%2B+4 Distribute

2%28x+%2B+3%29+-+12+=+x+%2B+4 Multiply

2x+%2B+6+-+12+=+x+%2B+4 Distribute again

2x+-6+=+x+%2B+4 Combine like terms

2x+-6+-x=4 Subtract x from both sides

2x+-x=4%2B6 Add 6 to both sides

x=10 Combine like terms
