If the equation is y+=+-22-3x, then you plug in y = 0 and solve for x

y+=+-22-3x

0+=+-22-3x

22+=+-3x

22%2F%28-3%29+=+x

x+=+-22%2F3

So the x-intercept is x+=+-22%2F3

Note: -22%2F3+=+-7.33333 (approximately)
