More than one way to do this, if Elimination Method is how. One good way, multiply the first equation's members by 3 and subtract one equation from the other to eliminate the x; and then find the value of y.

That first equation becomes 0.3x%2B0.18y=1.5;

0.3x-0.2y-%280.3x%2B0.18y%29=3.4-1.5
-0.2y=1.9
y=-1.9%2F0.2=-1.9%2A5=highlight%28-9.5=y%29.
