how do i solve 2x-7y=-29 and 7x+2y=-22 using the addition method

2x-7y= -29 and 

7x+2y= -22    |Multiplying 2nd EQ by 7%2F2 and then adding to the first

%2853%2F2%29x+=+-29+-77

%2853%2F2%29x+=+-106 

x+=%282%2F53%29%28-106%29+  x = -4   and y = 3

CHECKING our answer***

 -8 - 21 = -29
