4X+2Y=38 MULTIPLY THE FIRST EQUATION BY -1 & ADD THEM.
-X-2Y=-23

3X=15
X=15/3
X=5 ANSWER.
5+2Y=23
2Y=23-5
2Y=18
Y=18/2
Y=9 ANSWER.
