Question 705919: one of my equations says x+2y=2. My mind went blank.. how do I get y alone? Found 2 solutions by solver91311, josgarithmetic:Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
Process for this equation:
Add negative x to both sides.
Multiply (1/2) by both sides.
You now have y on one side of the equality symbol and an expression on the other side of the equality symbol.
-x is the additive inverse of x.
(1/2) is the multiplicative inverse of 2.
