To write in slope-intercept form, you must get it in y form (with y on one side) and you must have a slope (m) and an intercept (b) in order to satisfy the equation y=mx+b.

y%2Bcross%282-2%29=4x%2B8-2Subtract 2 from both sides
y=4x%2B6Now the equation is in slope-intercept form. In this case m=4 and b=6.
