You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Solve the second equation for y

-x + y = 2

y = x + 2

Plug this into the first equation

3x - 2y = 5

3x - 2(x+2) = 5

3x - 2x - 4 = 5

x - 4 = 5

I'll let you finish. What you need to do is solve for x. Then use this value of x to solve for y (plug the value of x into y = x+2)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Multiply the second equation by 3
3x - 2y = 5
3(-x+y=2) to get -3x + 3y = 6
...
Add the equations together to solve for y
3x + -3x - 2y + 3y = 5 + 6

...
Multiply the second equation by 2
2(-x+y=2) to get -2x+2y=4
...
Add the equations to solve for x
3x + -2x - 2y + 2y = 5 + 4
