The slope-intercept formis y+=+mx+%2B+b
7x+%2B+2y+=+11
subtract 7x from both sides
2y+=+-7x+%2B+11
divide both sides by 2
y+=+%28-7%2F2%29x+%2B+11%2F2
The slope is -7/2

Try this
7x+%2B+2y+=+11
If x = 0
2y = 11
y = 11/2
the point (0,11/2) is on the line
If y = 0
7x = 11
x = 11/7
the point (11/7,0) is on the line
