You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Midpoint:
(x, y)
(x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2
(-9+(-3))/2 , (4+(-4)/2 [plug-in the values]
(-12/2, 0/2)
(-6, 0)
.
Length or distance:
distance (d) = %28sqrt%28%28x1-x2%29%5E2%2B%28y1-y2%29%5E2%29%29
d=%28sqrt%28%28-9%29-%28-3%29%5E2%2B%28%284%29-%28-4%29%5E2%29%29%29
d=%28sqrt%28%28-6%29%5E2%2B%28%288%29%5E2%29%29%29
d=%28sqrt%28%2836%2B64%29%29%29
d=%28sqrt%28%28100%29%29%29
d=10

Another tutor already gave you the length, I'm going to show you the midpoint.
The midpoint formula is midpoint=((x1+x2)/2,(y1+y2)/2)
(x1,y1)=(-9,4) and (x2,y2)=(-3,-4)
midpoint =((-9+-3)/2,(4+-4)/2)
=(-12/2,0/2)
=(-6,0)
I'm sorry, your other tutor did give you this. I appologize to both you and your tutor for the redundancy. :-(
Happy Calculating!!!
