SOLUTION: What is the answer in graphing the system of linear inequalities on y<-3x+2 and y>4x-1 by giving two ordered pairs that are solutions and two that are not solutions?
Question 620409: What is the answer in graphing the system of linear inequalities on y<-3x+2 and y>4x-1 by giving two ordered pairs that are solutions and two that are not solutions? Answer by vleith(2983) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The solutions are graphical. Plot both lines as if they were equalities. Used dashed lines instead of solid lines (you can use solid lines if the inequality is >= or =<, but not pure > or <)
Then shade in the area that satisfies the inequality (shade above the line for > or below the line for <)
Use a different type of shading for each line (maybe lines going at one angle for one and at another angle for the other)
The shaded areas that are marked with both types of shading are the solutions.
If you are asked to pick two points, pick any two from the shared shaded sections.
