Question 613841: If there is no solution or infinitely many solutions, state so. Put the value for x in the blank:
2x + 3y = 9; 11x + 7y = 2
To solve for x, I keep getting 4 but I am thinking this is not correct.
Can you help?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiply 1st eqn by 7 ___ 14x + 21y = 63

multiply 2nd eqn by 3 ___ 33x + 21y = 6

subtract the eqns (eliminating y) ___ 19x = -57
