: Can anyone help me on this problem?
I need to solve the following systems by addition. If a unique solution does not exist, I need to state whether the system is inconsistent oor dependent.
x + 5y = 10
-2x - 10y = -20
Thanks so much,
Lisa This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you multiply the 1st equation thru by -2 you get the 2nd equation.
The system is said to be dependent because the two equations are
really the same.
