-2[3a-8a+2]+2=2a+3-3
-2[-5a+2]+2=2a+0
10a-4+2=2a
10a-2=2a [Solve for a]
10a-10a-2=2a-10a
-2=-8a
-2/-8=a
1/4=a
.
Check by plugging (a=1/4) back into the original equation.
