You can put this solution on YOUR website!
My understanding is that for substitution method, you just plug in the "Y=" formula were Y used to be and solve.
.
If Y=2x%2B1
then
x%2By=4
x%2B%282x%2B1%29=4
x%2B2x%2B1=4
3x=3
x=1
.
Then plug that answer back into the Y= formuala
.
Y=2x%2B1
Y=2%281%29%2B1
Y=2%2B1=3
.
So your answer is, x=1 and y=3. (1,3)
