-8%284%2B9x%29+=+7%28-2-11x%29 First, apply the distributive property to both sides of the equation.
-32-72x+=+-14-77x Now add 77x to both sides.
-32%2B5x+=+-14 Add 32 to both sides.
5x+=+18 Finally, divide both sides by 5.
x+=+18%2F5
x = 3 3/5 or x = 3.6
