You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need to first expand the equation on the right side to get 7%2B3x=x-8-4x and then combine like terms to get 7%2B3x=-8-3x. Now add 3x to both sides and we get 7%2B6x=-8 and then subtract 7 from both sides to get 6x=-15. Finally, divide both sides by 6 to get x=-15%2F6, which reduces to x=-5%2F2.
