You can put this solution on YOUR website!

46-%282x%2B1%29%3C3%28x%2B5%29%2Bx Start with the given inequality.

46-2x-1%3C3x%2B15%2Bx Distribute.

-2x%2B45%3C3x%2B15%2Bx Combine like terms on the left side.

-2x%2B45%3C4x%2B15 Combine like terms on the right side.

-2x%3C4x%2B15-45 Subtract 45 from both sides.

-2x-4x%3C15-45 Subtract 4x from both sides.

-6x%3C15-45 Combine like terms on the left side.

-6x%3C-30 Combine like terms on the right side.

x%3E%28-30%29%2F%28-6%29 Divide both sides by -6 to isolate x. note: Remember, the inequality sign flips when we divide both sides by a negative number.

x%3E5 Reduce.
