You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How can you find the slope-intercept form of the line perpendicular to y=-3x, passing through the point (o,-3)?

write the given equation in slope intercept form

y=mx+b
y=-3x+0

take "-3"'s negative reciprecal to find the perpeendecular line's slope.

-1%2F-3=1%2F3

write the equation we want to have in slope intercept form and substitute with the given domain and range values and slope we have just found.

y=mx+b
-3=1%2F3%2A0%2Bb
b=-3

again write the equation in slope intercept form; but this time substitute the y-intercept and slope we have just found.

y=mx+b
y=1%2F3%2Ax-3
