3x-2y=14
3x+5y= -14
I do not know how to do this. I worked it out like the book showed but nothing comes out with my check. Please help me on this.

Subtract the first from the 2nd:
7y = -28
y = -4
3x - 2*(-4) = 14
x = (14-8)/3
x = 2
