Substitute 2x+7 in for y in the 2nd equation
3x-%282x%2B7%29=9
3x-2x-7=9 simplify
x-7=9combine like terms
x=16add 7 to both sides
Now substitute 16 in for x in either equation:
y=2%2816%29%2B7
y=39
