You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the value of "a" if a line containing the point (a,-2a) has a y-intercept of 6 and slope of -2/3.
----
Using slope and intercept info you get:
y = (-2/3)x+6
---
Using the point info you get:
-2a = (-2/3)a+6
Multiply thru by 3 to get:
-6a = -2a + 18
Solve for "a":
4a = -18
a = -9/2
