Question 29689: 5x - 3y > -31 the goal is to graph the equation. The problem is .... the y-intercept winds up as 31/1. The program it comes from is not designed to plot such fractions on the graph. I'm not sure how to get the equation to work out to a whole integer for the y-intercept.
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the equation doesn't have an integer y-intercept....it is -31/3 --> -10.33333. That is the value.
You have to plot the straight line. Pick some values of x. Find the corresponding values of y and draw it. You will find the y-intercept is in the correct place.
