Question 254044: I'm sorry, you may have already seen this question, but that was because I submitted it in the wrong section.
"Use the graph to solve the linear system. Check your solution algebraically."
The intersecting point is at (6,-2)
-x+y=8
x+9=4
What do I do next? How do I check the solution?
I am in Alegbra I, second semester Honors, and I am struggling with these problems. Please help!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! plug your point x (6) and y (-2) into the two equations . if the numbers at the end are the same then you did it right.
if you get something like -2=3 then it is wrong
-x+y=8
x+9=4
First, I think you copied the equations wrong.
Secondly, your solution 6,-2 doesn't work for either equation.
