You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I need help as to how this word problem is to be set up: Suppose a chemist is mixing to acid solutions, one of 20% and the of 30% concentration. Which one o the following concentratons could not be obtained:
A 22%, B 24% C 28% D 32% The answer is D. I need some intruction as to how to set this problem up.
-------------------
No setup is needed for this one.
It comes down to this:
If you add a 20% and a 30% the 20% will dilute the 30% and give
you a mixture that is less than 30%.
You could not possible end up witha 32% solution.
