You can put this solution on YOUR website!
11b%2F6=b-5

Step 1. Multiply by 6 to both sides of the equation to get rid of the denominator

11b%2Across%286%29%2Fcross%286%29=6b-6%2A5

11b=6b-30

Step 2. Subtract 6b from both sides of the equation

11b-6b=cross%286b%29-30-cross%286b%29

5b=-30

Step 3. Divide by 5 to both sides to solve for b

cross%285%29b%2Fcross%285%29=-30%2F5

b=-6

Step 4. Check and substitute b=-6 into original equation 11b%2F6=b-5

11%2A%28-6%29%2F6=-6-5

-11=-11 which is a true statement

Step 5. ANSWER: Solution is b=-6

I hope the above steps were helpful.
