Step 1. Given, 5%283x-2%29-9%282%2B4x%29-7=0+ then get rid of the parenthesis and be careful with the minus -9 when multiplying.

15x-10-18-36x-7=0

Step 2. Combine the x-terms and the numbers as shown

%2815-36%29x-10-18-7=0

-21x-35=0

Step 3. Add 35 to both sides of the equation

-21x-35%2B35=0%2B35

-21x=35

Step 4. Divide by -21 to both sides of the equation

-21x%2F-21=35%2F-21

x=-35%2F21
