You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find FOUR consecutive integers whose sum is 50.

Step 1. Let n be an integer.

Step 2. Let n+1, n+2, n+3 be the next three consecutive integers.

Step 3. Then, n+n+1+n+2+n+3=50 since the sum of the four consecutive integers is 50.

Step 4. Solving the equation in Step 3 yields the following steps

4n%2B6=50

Subtract 6 from both sides of the equation

4n%2B6-6=50-6

4n=44

Divide 4 to both sides of the equation

4n%2F4=44%2F4

n=11 n%2B1=12 n%2B2=13 and n%2B3=14

And 11+12+13+14=50 which is a true statement.

Step 5. ANSWER: The four consecutive integers are 11, 12, 13, and 14.

I hope the above steps were helpful.
