0.05x + 0.25y = 11
0.15x + 0.05y = 12

Multiply both equations by 100 to get rid of the decimals
5x + 25y = 1100
15x + 5y = 1200

Multiply the 1st equation by 3
15x + 75y = 3300
15x + 5y = 1200
---------------Subtracting eliminates x; find y
70y = 2100%2F70
y = 30

Find x using eq: 5x + 25y = 1100
5x + 25(30) = 1100
5x + 750 = 1100
5x = 1100 - 750
5x = 350
