Step 1. For this example, y-intercept is when x=0 and

4%2A0-2y=8

-2y=8

-2y%2F2=8%2F2

y=-4 So one point is (0,-4).

Step 2. For this example, x-intercept is when y=0 and

4x-2%2Ay=8

4x=8

4x%2F4=8%2F4

x=2 So the other point is (2,0).

The following will graph the equation using the two points:
