Question 191711: Good afternoon, I have a problem I really need some help with. The directions say "Solve the systems of equations by graphing. Then classify the system." The problem has 4 graphs to choose from(they won't let me copy so I can't paste,lol). I think if you could give me the coordinates I could figure out which graph they go to. Than-x in advance,you've saved a lot of grey hairs:-) The equations are:
7u+v=47
7u=v+57 Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 7u+v=47
7u=v+57
:
If we solve it, you will know at which coordinates they intersect;
Put the 2nd equation in the standard form also, then add, eliminating v, find u
7u + v = 47
7u - v = 57
-------------
14u = 104
u =
u =
:
Find v using the 1st equation
7) + v = 47
52 + v = 47
v = 47 - 52
v = -5
:
The coordinates are , -5
