The general form of a quadratic is:
y = ax^2 + bx + c
where
a,b, and c are the coefficients
.
The x-axis of symmetry is then
x = -b/2a
.
So, for your equation:
y=2x(squared)-40x+10
x = -(-40)/2(2)
x = 40/4
x = 10
.
