well you need to distribute the right side of the equation , combine like terms and then isolate the variable
:
-4y+10=-6y-2...distributed right side
:
2y=-12.....added 6y and subtracted 10 from both sides
:
highlight%28y=-6%29divided both sides by 2 in order to isolate the variable y
:
