y=x-2.........eq 2

so take the value of y from eq 2 and plug it into eq 1

(x-2)=2x-3

now take x's found value of 1 and plug it back into either eq 1 or 2. I choose eq 2.

x-2=2x-3
x-2x=-3+2
-x=-1
x=1 ans.
y=2*1-3
y=2-3
y=-1 ans.
Proof:
-1=1-2
-1=-1
