3x - y = 10 eqn 1
x - 3y = 11 eqn 2
9x- 3y = 30 (eqn 1 times 3)
Subtract
-8x = -19
x = 19/8
-----------
Sub into either eqn
19/8 - 3y = 11
-3y = 69/8
y = -23/8
